EU & UK Cosmetic Formula Compliance Monitoring

Could a regulatory change affect your cosmetic formulas?

Knowing that a cosmetic regulation has changed is not the same as knowing whether your products are affected.

Someone still has to:

  1. Identify the relevant regulatory change
  2. Find the affected ingredients
  3. Check each formula
  4. Determine which products are affected
  5. Identify the applicable deadline
  6. Work out what action is required

Our EU & UK Cosmetic Formula Compliance Monitoring does it all for you.

What does Taobé do for your brand?

Step 1

Taobé starts with an initial compliance assessment of the cosmetic formulas you want to monitor.

Step 2

We then monitor relevant EU and UK regulatory changes against those formulas and contact you when a covered product may be affected.

The initial assessment is based on the INCI names and exact concentrations you provide using our excel template. Because this assessment relies on the information provided, it does not assess all substances or impurities that may be present in the raw materials.

For more comprehensive monitoring, we strongly recommend a full formula compliance assessment based on trade-name compositions and complete raw material documentation. This provides a more detailed assessment of the substances and impurities your products may contain.

How does our cosmetic formula compliance monitoring service work?

Most cosmetics regulatory watch services send you everything and leave the hard part, the impact assessment, to you. Taobé does the opposite.

We monitor relevant regulatory developments and assess their impact on the formulas in your portfolio. You hear nothing until one of your products may be affected. When it is, you receive a single, personalised alert that you can act on straight away, even without a regulatory specialist on your team.

What does the regulatory alert tell you?

Each alert explains:

  • The regulatory change and the market concerned, EU or UK
  • The relevant date or transition deadline
  • The exact products, formulas, ingredients and, where identifiable, raw materials affected
  • The practical action to take to stay compliant
  • The follow-up work Taobé can handle if corrective action is needed

Why is early cosmetic regulatory monitoring important?

The earlier you are aware of a new restriction, the sooner you can plan any necessary reformulation. If you become aware of a change too late, you might face withdrawn stock, blocked shipments and stressful negotiations with your importers and distributors.

Subscribing to our EU & UK Cosmetic Formula Compliance Monitoring service gives you more time to respond to regulatory changes that may affect your products.

Yes. For products where Taobé is the appointed RP, monitoring is already part of the RP service. This subscription is for brands acting as their own RP.
